The Live tab contains the parameters to be set to transmit and receive audio.
To proceed with configuration:
1.In the Send section select an Input device.
The device has to be set on those workstations from which you want to transmit audio. The lower meter shows signal presence and its level.
2.Set in Channel the channels number. Use 1 if the captured signal is MONO, 2 if STEREO.
3.Set in Frequency the input signal sample rate.
4.If needed, use Balance to configure the input signal balance between Left and Right.
5.Set in Bitrate the transmission quality.
6.In the Receive section select an Output device.
7.Set in Buffer audio length the ratio between latency and stability of the audio stream.
Selecting to FAST reduces the latency from transmitting workstation and receiving workstation. Selecting to STABLE makes the stream more stable, increasing the audio buffer, at the expense of latency.
Changes need to restart the RECEIVE.
8.Enable AutoFade.
When SEND is enabled, Inonda volume will decrease to the percentage set in the Volume on talkover at: field and with speed set in the Fade talkover speed field.
The same speed is used when SEND is turned off and Inonda volume comes back to its 100%.
Caution If there are more speakers who use CasterLive DJ at the same time, just one of them has to enable the AutoFade option, to avoid that other speakers who turn off their SEND would accidentally raise the station volume. |
Other settings you can tweak are:
•Send Countdown
Allows you to set a countdown to be shown during speaker interventions.
The countdown will be activated when SEND is enabled.
•On reconnect preserve Send/Receive status
If enabled, when reconnecting the last status of SEND and RECEIVE buttons will be kept.
•Apply Inonda MASTER volume locally
Enable this to avoid that the RECEIVE volume would decrease in preview when SEND is enabled.
Enabling SEND the Inonda volume is decreased but received streaming when RECEIVE is enabled will not be decreased.
